Yeah, if you do any kind of design work, you'll have some great new sounds. All other VIs but the Aria player and MachFive are now disabled in DP. One stop shopping except for some orchestral stuff that I prefer in Aria player.

I'll probably still use Plogue Bidule since it has so many cool tools I've yet to mess with and it's a 64 bit shell whereas DP is still 32.

FWIW - I also had the hanging problem with the M5v3 Installer Disc at the same stage of the process.

The disc itself seemed to have a bad scratch so I called the distributor and they mailed me a replacement which worked fine.

Can any of you early adopters post if the readability of MV3 has improved over v2? Fonts on the main screen were so tiny I had to to stop using v2. the browser in v2 IS readable to me with my old eyes. Thanks.

Nothing was more difficult to read in MachFive 2 than the Performance info, mainly due to contrast (different shades of orange and red). To my aging eyes at least, MachFive 3 is a considerable improvement. Most text is white or near-white on black and quite readable. As usual, YMMV.

I downloaded the full install version of 3.0.1, totally side-stepping any potential issues with the disc installer. :D

I haven't used MF2 so I don't know how difficult it was, but I have no problems with viewing script/fonts on MF3.

The top track in my Soundcloud link below is just MF3 samples.

These aren't the premium instruments, just a selection of some of the sounds.
Don't be put off by the eqing and mixing :D MOTU cannot be held accountable for that.....
