Is Tiger Safe?
Is Tiger safe? I have G5 dual 2.5 gig,a lot of Spectrasonic,East West,
Mach 5, Uad 1, two internal drives and three external, DP 4.6.
What say ye?

Tiger was the best upgrade I ever did... 10.42 is great and 10.43 is going to be out by the end of this month supposidly

Chrispick, did you have to re-authorize any of your 3rd party plugs upon going to Tiger???

That said, it wasn't a painful process. Most companies offer multiple authorizations, although many don't advertise that fact. In the single case where I'm locked into a one computer/one authorization situation, with Audio Ease's Altiverb, I explained my situation to them via email and they granted me another authorization within 24 hours.
If you're set up to obtain authorizations via internet, you shouldn't run into too much inconvenience. At least, that was my experience.
I should add that I needed to upgrade a few apps when stepping up to Tiger, and I found that process to be as unencumbering as re-authorization.

After I got a G5 2x2.75GHz with Tiger my Girlfriend couldn‘t have been any happier. I‘m working only 10h / day and finally get to spent some time with her too
