maybe someone could help? when i run my guitar or vocals through my outboard mixer and then into the audio ins of my audio card to record in DP i get a serious delay. i can not for the life of me figure out how to remove it.
i would just like to hear my vocals feeding back into my headphones or speakers in realtime as i record without any delay. this is how it is dry or wet.
any ideas? obviously it records correctly, but the actual playback as it records delays the live feed.

Since you are already using a mixer, with some clever routing, you can plug your mic(s) as well as the L/R from the computer (audio interface) into the mixer, and use either of these options to connect to the input of your audio interface:
a) direct out from the mic channel
b) putting a TS cable to the first click of a channel insert (usually gives you essentially same as direct out - pre fader)
c) a 'send' on the channel (hopefully its pre fader so the volume is not dependent on the fader, and make sure you lower the other sends)
then, you can turn off input monitoring in dp, plug your headphones/monitors into the main outs on your mixer and use the faders to adjust the balance between your live inputs and the backing track/click from your computer. If your board (mixer) has busses, you can use those to good effect as well. Hope that answers your question.

other ideas...
1. Using mixer or not -- check the Audiophile driver buffer settings..inluding host buffer multiplier. 128 with 1, 2, 3, 4 HBM for example, will give 128, 256, 384, 512 respectively...experiment freely to see what works.
2. Try recording without effects to see what happens.. (turn off all plugs)
