Your statement that I can type in English and not Monkey is perhaps more accurate than you think, Tom. In fact, I can only type in English and not Monkey.

Go figure. I'm a con-humdrum.

Not only that but I’ve noticed the Austrians here do not type and form sentences like the Aussies in the movies. But I bet your diction sounds Australian. We in the US like the sound of the way Aussies sound. I go up to British Columbia Canada skiing and they have a different way of speaking also, I can speak Canadian OK. :koolaid: 8)

I was born and raised in the US, and I have been living here in Oz for ~25 years. I am officially bilingual, because I can speak American and Aussie, and I even know a bit of rhyming slang.
Cheers,
BK

…string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.

Firstly, it's 'cause when we're here we're not in the movies, but here.
Secondly, this is confusing 'cause I've Austrian heritage but haven't taken note of the way our resident Austrians type or speak. I'll bet it's using their hands to speak and mouths to type... hang on... isn't that an Italian paraplegic? Monkey's confused. Again. :?

Hey, leave my dick-shin out of it, thank you. Cripes... the nerve of some folks.

When I moved to Oregon from Boston I got a lot of people teasing me about my accent. Then after I was here a bit and and due to osmosis learned to pronunciate in Oregonian. On a trip to Boston I was told I talked like a cowboy. One never thinks they have an accent as we get used to hearing it. Accents are like the way different guitars have a sound of there own. There I brought this back to guitars.
I am setting up a guitar for a friend this week end, it has a Floyd Rose: they make setting guitars up a bit tricker. I do have one Floyd Rose on my Jackson and I like the Fender tremolo much better.

Yikes! I have a Floyd Rose on my Hamer, and it is a pain to deal with.
The last time I changed strings it took me forever, so I have resolved that in the future I will take it to a guitar tech I know and I will happily pay him to do it for me. I had it blocked last year too - it still allows me to whammy a bit, but tuning is less of an issue now.
Cheers,
BK

I put on some Graphtech sadles on my Jackson with the Floyed and this has helped a lot with string breaking. They are well worth the cost.

 8) :koolaid:

We some times know when a commercial that talks about Oregon was made some place other than Oregon as they say (Ore gone) but up here we say (Ore gun). The Willamette River reads like (Will I met tee) but is pronounced like (will am it).

In Boston where I grew up if it has an r in it you blend it with the vowel or drop it and if it does not have an r you often add one. Like beer sounds like beaa and car sounds like caa. Another way to look at Boston lingo, using the word park; pronounced (PArK) the r is down played. The word idea is my tell; I still say idear.

I know some people from the South East and they have a langue of their own.
I like the sound of people from Texas.
Now them Brits they sound funny.
It is all what you get used to.
