Wish I could say the same regarding your posts, but when I see you continue to misrepresent the situation despite very clear, open and honest explanations from my colleagues and myself, I am left wondering whether you are actually doing yourself, your forum colleagues or, indeed, MOTU any favours at all.
I did take issue with Hugh's statement that none of their audio content was reduced for the video section. As I recall DP coverage was reduced.
As has been explained to you repeatedly and with enormous patience, the total audio article content within SOS
HAS NOT BEEN REDUCED. The reduction in coverage of DP Notes is
NOT RELATED IN ANY WAY to the addition of a new video section.
Please help me here, what aspect of this is so difficult for you to understand? What can I do to make it any easier for you to understand?
So sure... as a DP user... it feels like we're shoved aside for Reaper.
Yes, I can see why you would feel like that. Essentially, it is the fact of the situation. Substantially more of our readers wanted to read about Reaper than about DP.
And as been correctly pointed out, that's really not a concern of SOS.
Then please explain why you continue to harp on and on about it when discussing the SOS coverage of DP Notes? It is utterly irrelevant.
I'll get accused of making too big a deal of it, but it really cheesed me off that SOS couldn't even include DP in the compatibility chart on the article about 64-bit compatibility.
I don't mind that you make a big deal of it, once. In your shoes I would have enquired about it too. But having received an explanation and an apology I would have got over it and moved on. Do you think you're magnanimous enough to do that?
I'd love to have an explanation why we didn't get ONE LINE in a chart???
You have received that explanation on at least three separate occasions now. Why is it so hard to take on board?
I thought we were demoted to once every two months, but it seems much more infrequent than that.
It might help if you did some research rather than just cite your flawed impressions as if fact. Our intention remains to include DP Notes every two or occasionally every three months. This year DP Notes has appeared in the Febrary, April and July issues. That is every two or three months. The October edition, being a special celebratory issue for our 25th anniversary, has broken the cycle slightly but I'm certain it will be restored without delay.
When I saw the 64-bit compatibility article, though we'd at least make the little chart. Nope. I find that frustrating and I'd rather not be reminded of it.
The only one reminding you of it, is you!
Anyway, maybe Hugh will tell us they're going to do a review of the very significant DP 7.2 update
I will report back on that as soon as I know the answer.
