Traveler 3.7.3.9083 drivers on xp, no sound

Post by corbs »

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else has come across this problem. No sound works and when I try to set the hardware to ASIO then select the motu device in ableton I get:
An unknown error occurred in the MOTU ASIO driver.#25 [][][][][][][][][][]
Any ideas?

I haven't seen that error before. Which version of Live are you using? Does the problem happen with any other program that uses the MOTU ASIO driver?
The leading cause of wrong answers is asking the wrong questions.

In Ableton it happens in both 7.0.3 and 8.1.3.

When I use it in skype I just get no sound. I don't have much else to test it on.

I had a similar problem a little while ago with Cubase SX3 when I updated to driver 32fw-3.6.8.1410. Basically cubase would crash as soon as it would start initializing the ASIO driver. So I uninstalled 32fw-3.6.8.1410 and reinstalled the previous motu driver 32fw-3.6.8.1394 and the problem went away.

That was about a year or more ago and I have never updated the driver since. If it ain't broke don't update it unless you know its 100% going to work.
