Live crashing when changing buffer size on MkII 828

Hi,

I had gotten this to work flawlessly after installing the AVT FW drivers found in another thread here. So recently I was lowering my buffer size within Ableton Live preferences from 256 down to 192 and Live crashed. This happens on both XP Pro SP3 and Vista X64 (Ultimate) SP2. The abes looked at the crash and said it appears to be a Motu issue and maybe need a newer driver. I was running the 3.6 *1414 drivers and saw the newer 3.7 drivers released last month. So I tried it in Vista and it is doing the same thing. Any time I lower it, Live will crash, but it will come back up after a reload and be at the lower setting - and I can increase it to a higher value with no crashes.

Is anyone else seeing this or willing to try it on their software? My hardware is solid as I haven't had any issues (previously was running overclocked but was suggested I reset to stock = made ZERO difference to prior issue which was when I found the AVT FW driver in a thread and then it worked (all items loadable after installation, i.e. CueMix, Motu Audio Console and SMTPE). So this is looking like a driver issue from my end as well as Ableton support.

Same here.
I have sent the bug to Ableton last night.
Waiting for reply.
I do the same test in Samplitude and everything works ok.

Well at least I'm not the only one seeing this. From word I got back from the abes is that it isn't an issue with Live, it's with MOTU. I will see if there's any newer drivers from the last one that I hit this with, and if a new version is out, give it a try. It isn't detrimental but should *not* be happening.

[edit] I see there is a newer version (3.7-39xxx) which I am now going to install and test out with Live 8.1.1 and 8.1.3 to see if it still crashes when lowering buffer size.
