SET BITE GAIN COMMAND KEY [RESOLVED]
Huh - Lotta vocal fixes in this project so using the cross fade tool and select tool extensively, which is a huge time saver - but I am slowed down by having to go set the audio bite gain without using the command key.
I understand the command key and am using it, and I see the audio window flash when I do it - but
the difference is when I manually go in there and do it, I get a screen redraw that shows how I am doing in matching the levels of the audio bite before and after it
whereas
when I use the command key I don't get a redraw on the wave form.
Is this a bug?
I am going to see if the command key is doing anything and report back.
Sometimes learning how to save time is exhausting and takes so much time.
Gads.

OK - The command is working but you don't get a re-draw on the wave form when you use it.
I just closed and opened the display window to see if that would refresh the audio display but it doesn't.
Huh - I think this is a bug.

Re: SET BITE GAIN COMMAND KEY
Just a thought... not in front of DP right now, but is the Command key combo adjusting Bite GAIN or Bite Volume. I know one of those does not affect the waveform display. Perhaps your command key combo is adjusting the volume instead of gain or vice versa?

Re: SET BITE GAIN COMMAND KEY
I think James is right, you're setting Bite Volume not Bite Gain and you won't see a change in the waveform. When you're setting Bite Gain with a command key or from the Audio menu a dialog box always comes up, unless you have a command conflict (duplicate).
The Bite Gain field in the Event Information section of the Info Bar is a handy little thing. You can see the change to the waveform as you adjust it.

Re: SET BITE GAIN COMMAND KEY
It is most definitely the singer and she was chosen for me because the film producer liked one of her songs. But really she was chosen mainly because she is cute and he has a weakness for cute girls.
IT IS a command for bite volume and not bite gain -
I cannot find a command key for gain - is it easy to program one?
Huh.
Spent 8 HOURS tuning vocals and matching performances on TWO three minute songs.
Good lord.

Do give this a try, though. You might like it. Depending on where I am in the windows, I'll use either method.

Re: SET BITE GAIN COMMAND KEY- OWNED!
Glad to see you resolved it! I hope you didn't have a hard time coming up with a unique key command for Bite Gain. Seems DP has so many now, coming up with a unique combo, especially when you need two similar commands (one for increasing and one for decreasing), is difficult.

Re: SET BITE GAIN COMMAND KEY [RESOLVED]
thats too true... I just tend to go and delete the ones I have never heard off - ( anything quickscribe or other oddities..
I set "g" for set bite gain,,, I just wished that they'd make one for clip gain maths,,, - add 6 to this lot here
for sure clip gain (not volume) has to be my FAVOURITE dp feature...

If it doesn't show up you need to set the preferences. Also, I've noticed if you have too many parameters set to show up in the Event section that it can get pushed out of the way or hidden.
