DP5 Split Multi-Channel wont work :(
So... I've always wondered how to bounce a session down to multi mono tracks without doing each one in real time. So... I read about Split Multi-Channel bouncing. BUT!!! It's greyed out. What the heck? I've tried everything. Thanks!

What version of DP are you using, and what audio file format (AIFF, WAVE, etc.) are you trying to bounce to?

DP5.... and anything I can! I tried wav, aiff, sdII. Only time I get the multi channel output is with the SDII but it's greyed. Just sucks because I'm trying to bounce each track out as audio to take to a studio and at 30 tracks x 8 minutes in real time.... that's just ridiculous. lol.

There's a Source menu in the Bounce to Disk dialog — did you choose a multi-channel bundle from that list? When I choose a 5.1 output bundle in the Source menu (using DP 5.13), the Split Multi-Channel option becomes available.

Re: DP5 Split Multi-Channel wont work :(
there is no 5.1 output bundle showing up and the multi bounce is still greyed out. I have to take these sessions to a studio next week to dump into protools and there is no damn way I'm going to bounce each track down in realtime with wet and dry versions. Alot of other programs will let you do this.. what's the deal?!?! Also these are not 5.1 sessions. Just stereo. :/

Ahh, OK, I think I understand what you want to do. Try selecting everything and using Audio menu > Freeze Tracks. It will render each track as its own file in one realtime pass.

Re: DP5 Split Multi-Channel wont work :(
Then... do I go back to the soundbite window, then export the files?
It worked for the most part but seemed to leave out anything that wasn't set to the main output. (bus'd tracks did not freeze) Am I getting close atleast?

Re: DP5 Split Multi-Channel wont work :(
your bouncing to disk? whys it realtime?
it's about 4 to 5 times faster than realtime usually for me on 100 tracks into surround...?
or make loadsa buses?
more info required on your bus structure
why surround? is that so you can bounce 5 in one go?

Re: DP5 Split Multi-Channel wont work :(
k, so i realize now that multi channel is a 5.1 thing.... gotcha.
I'm just bouncing for stereo! Bussing for say.... a drum kit bussed an aux, etc.
And DP does bounce in realtime... select the audio in tracks window, bounce.
If I save the session as an OMF will it merely just put faders at 0 and center pan, no efx? I don't mind bouncing a few wet tracks that I know I want that plugin on but otherwise... i'm going to rely on what the studio has to offer console wise.
