Cannot drop mp3 into iTunes (now resolved)

Post by Kenny B »

Yeah, if I try I get the error message that I do not have access privileges. Well it worked before, but I guess something when awry.

I've tried to repair permissions and that does not work. Seems to be a bug in Snow Leopard or the various programs that I've installed recently have caused havoc on my computer.

Any help?

I found this solution on the Apple Support page:

"right click on your iTunes folder and get info. check if you have read & write privileges on your iTunes folder and apply to enclosed items via the little gear shaped icon. try again to add the tunes."

I tried this and it worked. Now why did this happen in the first place? I dunno but I'd be one crumbled cracker if if were not for these user help forums.
