Re: NEW iPerformer's Aruma Mod for DP7!!

Post by Crashdown »

I just wish that the meters would look like those on Protolls 8...

I love DP and work with it since version 2.7... but It never had such an annoying GUI.

Anyways...Thanks for the Mod's!! It's been really helpful. Otherwise i couldn't work with it for more than 4 hours straight.

Cheers,

Hi Radiogal!
Are you asking about Aruma or Uqi Mod? Because Aruma looks fine is Uqi the one that makes the markers dificult to read. So I guess is Uqi right?
Well sadly I have to say that the only fix for that is to change the Control Panel look and give it a lighter background so the markers will be more readable.
And update for that is comming soon.
Thanks!

Hi rikp and everybody!!

I've decided to set up a Website with all my DP 6.x and DP7.x Mods.
For those that are using my Mods it would be nice if you could visit and register and also download all new updates .
These updates are available for free (although any donations will be gratefully accepted).
New updates have some graphic maintenance and improvements and there are compatible with newest versions of DP. There is also a new Mod which is my favorite: Dark Mod 7.x
So feel free to visit any time.
Any comments here or there are always very welcome.
I have to thanks James and all of you and wish you happy Holidays too.

Re: iPerformer's Mods now with installers on iP's website

Post by iPerformer »

Hey guys!

Just wanted to let you guys know that all my Mods for DP6.x and DP7.x have now installers that will do the whole installing job for you!
It took a lot of work and patience but now they are ready to go.
For the very first time you don't have to be worried about installing any of iP's Mods. The installers will do it perfectly well, avoiding any manual mistake on the installation that could lead to end with a corrupted copy of DP.
On Top of that, this new installers can be applied even if you already had installed another iPerformer's Mod... and more than that...they can be applied also if you had installed another Dood's Mods!
Just double click and let the installer do the job. It will check your copy of DP and prepare it for the new mod. No need of a fresh install of DP before applying the mod, the installer will clean first and then install.
As MOTU's DP updaters install new copies of DP you will need to choose a Mod installer that matches your version of DP. ie. DP 7.02 --> matches DarkMod 7.02 installer.
Please feel free to download any installer you want. Even if you already have a mod installed, I think it could be very handy to have an installer just in case.
For more detailed information ,please visit my Mod's website:

NOTE: For the ones that already have registered as iP Mods users. Just do me a favor. I know you have already registered as a user but I had some issues with my server and lost some info. Please if you don't mind registering again it will be great. On top of that I modified the user form so I could know which mods you are using.
Thanks again.

I love everything about the Aruma mod except one little thing.

Not sure if anyone else agrees....but I find the "electric blue" meter levels hard to see when surrounded by the darker blue channel strip. My mind wants to see a contrasting color like the older DP fluorescent green...or even a yellow or something. But I am not sure if the color of the volume meters can be changed at all using these mods. In the default color scheme of DP7...with all the white...the electric blue meter levels are easier to see. But when surrounded by darker colors, I feel they need to be more contrasting and lighter. Even a lighter "sky blue" would work. But the fluorescent green of the older DP versions would be my preference.

Regards,

Brian Ralston

Hi bralston!
I wish I could please everybody but I think is not possible. Anyway, maybe some other people might want to change the meters color in Aruma. So I will post a link for the ones that want to change that color to download green, yellow , light blue and maybe orange. Right now I'm not at home but I'll do it as soon as possible.

Aruma Lite

Post by jimagine »

Hey iP, nice work. I've been locked away for a while finishing setup of our new studio and I thought It would be a good time to start the new systems with a new DP look. I really like your Aruma mod but it was really too dark for me. I tweaked the mixer, Control Panel and some knobs and controls and evolved a quick version that I think is a lot easier on the eyes. I'm going to tweak it some more later...especially the dark mute/solo buttons. I think some of the folks that liked the lighter version might like this much more open but still true to your great original.

So here's a hybrid that's a combination of original controls, iP's layout and a bunch of color and readability adjustments. It's not perfect but I'd need to get deeper into the file design for that and I've got to get back to production. I like it though...it's sort of a mid point between the original DP GUI and iP's in terms of tone and brightness.
