Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
OK..
I think it's getting to the point where I will have to follow Shooshie's idea of different looks for different moods.
Anyone have any advice on the best way to do this?
Does on just hit apple-d to dup the DP app and then edit the folder contents seperately for each "skin"
Can one put the name of the skin on the version of DP..for ex- "DP 4.01-Dark"
Or will that keep it from working?
Also, having several DP apps in the DP folder? Any bad effects from that?

Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
I have been doing this with no ill effects. Just duplicate a virgin copy of DP, rename it to something like "Digital Performer Gold" then apply the mod. You can then drag that "Gold" version to your dock as well as the other one. Just do this for each look, so you will have one copy of the app for each mod you want to use. They can be renamed and all live in the same folder together.

This is what I have been doing as well... but just today I discovered something which you might want to pay attention to when doing this...toodamnhip wrote:Cool..thanksJames Steele wrote:I have been doing this with no ill effects. If you use Audio Hijack Pro, or something similar to capture DP audio, it will not recognize the different versions of DP as the same application, and will therefore NOT capture the audio from a different version of DP until you first direct it to hijack the exact variation of DP you are using.
It is completely logical that it would need to have the application re-defined... but if you are not thinking about it you might forget to swap applications and it will not capture your audio. I was scratching my head for a minute this morning until I figured out what was going on.

Re: AmpGUI7 (always updating first post)
Guys, I think you will have a lot of fun using this one. I'm putting more care into this than any of the ones I've done up to this point, except maybe for Gold. I feel like I'm starting to get a better grasp of lighting and the concept of continuity in design. This one will be my launching pad for delving a lot more deeply into graphic design. I need another outlet since music has gotten really hard to make a living at solely.

For Clarity Gold and Silver Mod, here is an icon that at least kind of resembles what inspired it:

Download Gold & Silver Mod Icon HERE.
It may also be usable for some of the other mods. I've got another icon or two in the works that may be more appropriate for all of them. You can still download the Gold Mod icon here:
Download Gold Mod Icon

I think I made the Gold & Silver icon a little better than the Gold Mod icon. The Gold & Silver has the smaller icons built into it. I didn't know how to do that when I made the Gold Icon, so it doesn't show up properly for some sizes. But if you set it as your main icon for Gold mod, it will show up properly in the Finder and Dock. Still learning how to use IconMaker (though it seems quite simple, do something wrong and you won't get certain sizes of the icons) Anyway, I hope to make some better ones next time, for Gold, Gold & Silver, Clarity, and the future "night" mod.
