Liquid Mix Patches with Real Names Now Availible
Hi,
I had said I would post these a few months back and never got around to it.
I made these (took a long time) for myself but wanted to share them with you all. They are the LiquidMix patches with the correct names - like LA2A or SSL G Series instead of USA Compressor or British Desk 2.
I got sick of keeping my MBP fired up with the .pdf of all the correct names so I spent an hour or so renaming everything.
To use these:
1- Drop the folder (Liquid Mix) into yourname/Library/Application Support
2- When you are using Liquid Mix go to the disc icon and select load compressor or load eq and select what you want - you'll see the correct names.
You can save "Full" (EQ and Comp) if you want, but as one can imagine it would not be worth one's time to create random presets like that.
They are located at:
http://www.sparkletune.com/LiquidMix.zip
James, if posting links like this is against the rules let me know and I'll pull this down:)

Just so everyone knows The Liquid Mix has been dropped to $199.99
http://www.bswusa.com/proditem.asp?item=LIQUIDMIX16
I have the more expensive LM and it's really nice. The sounds are the same in both (I actually would prefer this one without the display, as I don't really use it) but this is a great box for 2 bills.

Re: Liquid Mix Patches with Real Names Now Availible
This is exactly what is so great about MotuNation...
I HIGHLY recommend getting a Liquid Mix at $199. They had some problems at first but my LM has been great for a year. It has incredible power and sound. I have A/B against most other plugs including waves etc and it is better or equal.
The only system that is better is UAD and I would say the LM is 90% as close to UAD. On some stuff like the Neve EQ I can come so close it's hard to tell.

Re: Liquid Mix Patches with Real Names Now Availible
The fact that this set of renamed .lss files is so appreciated
underscores what a lame job Focusrite did of naming things in
the first place.
They could have easily misspelled certain names, as in "Multec"
or "Solid Nation Logic" or "LA-9A" or "Passive Massive". But
instead they chose names like "Trany" - no clue at all what that
would mean without a reference chart.

Re: Liquid Mix Patches with Real Names Now Availible
Right... it is the LiquidMix16... so be aware that along with the lack of the display, you get half the channels of processing that you get with the standard LiquidMix. I bought the regular one for $399 on an eBay blowout from a dealer that was selling like-new B-stock units.noah330 wrote:Just so everyone knows The Liquid Mix has been dropped to $199.99

Re: Liquid Mix Patches with Real Names Now Availible
Just a question for you: I finally got around to looking at these and I'm wondering what the applet called "ResetLiquidMixLogging" is all about? Are we supposed to run this? Also, it might help if you included a little Read Me text file in the Zip archive explaining installation.noah330 wrote:Hi,

I want to install this, but I'm a bit thrown by the applet or script called "ResetLiquidMixLogging" and what its purpose is.

Re: Liquid Mix Patches with Real Names Now Availible
Okay... further questions:
I noticed the following:
1) There is already a Liquid Mix folder in the location you mention.
2) The "ResetLiquidMixLogging" script is there already.
3) My own saved LiquidMix custom presets are in that folder as well
Some questions:
1) If I were to just drag your Liquid Mix folder there, it would ask me if I wanted to delete the old Liquid Mix folder and I would then delete my own presets.
2) If my own presets reference the original names of the Liquid Mix .lss files, if I delete the originals will my presets not be able to load?
3) What about the ones that are designated by "application" like "Master-" or "DrumBus-" are those supposed to be replaced?
4) Is the point to just Merge these in with the original files and then start using them from then on?
I guess I'm just a bit confused as to the ramifications of replacing the whole folder or deleting any of the original files.
