Nomad Factory - Upgrades ?
Hi again folks,
As you know, our "Producer Pack" promotion worked great and we at DontCrack, upgraded all previous owners of the "Producer Pack 1" for FREE. That was part of the agreement we signed with Nomad Factory sometime ago and we received great testimonials from that. But many of you also mentioned the fact that though the deal is real good, they would love to upgrade to some or all missing products...
Our "Producer Pack" upgrade also left behind all owners of previous bundles such as the "Studio Pro Bundle" - the "Vintage Studio Bundle" and even the "Integral Bundle" owners that sure did ask for some kind of upgrades that include the British, the Retrology and of course the new Pulse-Tec EQs. Now most owners did agree that manufacturers such as Nomad Factory can't systematically upgrade all previous packs for free...
So we had a good thought at that and we closely monitored all that had been said about that here on the board.
And so we contacted the folks at Nomad factory and we're actually talking them in to some kind of a hot upgrade for ALL Nomad Factory bundle owners... Our idea would be to offer a single upgrade to ALL Nomad Factory products and that, at a very attractive price, what ever bundle listed above users may have... That would solve the complicated and expensive licensing issues.
We suggested 2 upgrades. One for the "Producer Pack" owners that would want to upgrade to the full list which is 19 plugins missing at $199 ? Same pricing to the full "Integral bundle" for all other bundles owners
If we receive huge feedback perhaps could we even ask for a better deal. I think we would need to collect a few hundred subscribers to talk Nomad Factory in to it. And best of all, I think we could talk even Nomad in to a short time promotion for all of you that might not own any Nomad bundles but would like to jump in to the "Integral Bundle" if the price is right... $499? Perhaps less if again we bring enough subscribers to upgrade or purchase the full pack?
I'm just following up with ideas that have been mentioned here on the board. I look forward to your feedback and ideas that we will very closely monitor. It's not easy to satisfy everyone but we are working on it
Thanks in advance for your time and your contribution.
Kind Regards - Peter

Re: Nomad Factory - Upgrades ?
It's gonna be hard to pass up on what sounds to be another hot deal... although I'm not sure I really need another 19 plugins. Would the BBE - D82 Sonic Maximizer be in that set?
I would prefer to see something along the lines of $99 for 10 plugins selected from those 19 by popular vote. Spending another $200 right now might be difficult for many of us to justify.
But do keep talking... I'm interested and intrigued.

Re: Nomad Factory - Upgrades ?
I'm in for that. Actually, how about an option: 2 packages, $99 each, with each one containing the missing plugins from a certain collection and MAYBE, the BBE.
You'd get double purchases and single from those where money is tight. But it would increase sales for sure and choice as well...
Thank me later.

Success is just one more plugin away! And happiness is as close as your next upgrade.

Since the plugins I am most interested in are the ones I'm missing from the Blue Tubes set, that would work perfectly for me. I think a lot of the ones that people were disappointed not to have (like the De-esser) are from that Blue Tubes set. Your solution could work very well for everyone.

2 Packages at $99 each..
+1
I can live without the 2 missing Liquid Bundle Plugins.... so 21-2 (liquid) =19 Plugins.

Re: Nomad Factory - Upgrades ?
I'm in for whatever. In an ideal world, I think $149
would be a great price for all "missing" plug-ins with
the exception of BBE Maximizer - you could leave that out.
The reason I say that is that Nomad is a distributor for
BBE but not the creator of the plug-in - and I think the
BBE creators deserve something more.
And - the BBE is the one plug I wouldn't really miss.
I have other exciters.
I think two upgrades at $99 would be the same as one at
$199. I don't see the need to split it into two upgrades,
as a creator and seller of sound libraries, I think that
creates too much confusion and account tracking for both
Nomad and DontCrack.

Re: Nomad Factory - Upgrades ?
I agree that simplicity should be at the core of whatever solution they're working on.
It's the fill-in-your-own-gaps-up-to-a-certain-amount-of-plugins deal--- aka: one price *can* fit (almost) all!
Look, I think it's cool that Don't Crack and Nomad are working on any sort of attractive deal based upon what they're hearing from their users. That's got to be among the very best examples of what marketing and customer relations have to offer I've ever seen via internet feedback.

Re: Nomad Factory - Upgrades ?
Boy Frodo I couldn't agree more. When I proposed a deal for the extra plug-ins I thought boy are you dreaming! I was just totally thrilled just to even have them post here. The idea of customer service is so important as everybody wins both supplier and customer. One could see this as reflected by the positive comments in all the posts. What is even more outstanding is the quality of the products. By the fact of how this is all shaping up gives great understanding of why the products are so good. Thanks again to Nomad and Don't Crack.Frodo wrote:I agree that simplicity should be at the core of whatever solution they're working on.
