Nomad Factory Group Buy @ DontCrack.com

Post by kgdrum »

Hi All,
about 2.5 years ago many of us participated in a group buy of Nomad Factory pugs @ http://www.dontcrack.com
they are having another Group Buy that looks pretty cool a complete set of plugs called the Producer pack 2 that would retail (individually) for $3000 marked down to $249!.......
but it gets better, this is what I am trying to decipher, they are saying if you already have their Producer pack 1(I think I have this, must check)the new Producer pack 2 is FREE! and already registered and ready for owners to download.
I had a few beers so if this isn't correct blame the pretty bartender.

kg--

just wanted to respond by giving a thumbs up to this incredible deal. Nomad did this once before a few months ago, but I don't remember if the deal was as good as this.

$3k down to $249? That's pretty serious. Whatever the case, few plugin manufacturers (who are not already giving their products away for free) could match 27 high-quality plugins at this price. That's $9.20 per plugin on average.

The one thing that would concern me is what the support longevity would be. Come Oct. 11th, I want to see what Nomad has up its sleeve.

I've downloaded the demos to give them a whirl.

On the one hand I feel like I already have more than enough EQs and Compressors... but on the other hand this seems like too incredible a deal to pass up. I've gotta play around with these plugins for a few days and see if there is any special magic generated.

Indeed, to that. But I'm not sure this is a blow-out sale like the Komplete 5 box sets from Native Instruments. This may be just a smashing good deal to generate some quick income.

That's the kind of customer service I really like and greatly respect. What a wonderful way to reward those who are already on board. I wish more companies would take this approach.

I've been playing around with these plugins today, and I don't think I can resist this offer. There are some really useful tools in this package... including many which will save me tonnes of time getting the tone I am looking for. This is a pretty easy investment... even though I can't really afford it. But I can't afford not to buy it, either.

Again I encourage everyone to download the 15 day demo and convince yourself either way.

The plug-ins that use the new Retro Sound Modeling really sound great! I think this includes the Retro eqs, the British Bundle, the AMT, and now the pretty darn amazing Pulse Tec.

I had always liked the Blue Tubes EQ but pretty much wrote off the dynamics. Not bad for gentle compression, but they generally seemed to lack punch.

But the newer plug-ins are like a new era in the evolution of Nomad Factory. I am duly impressed!

Oh yeah, I've had the Producer Pak 2 for a couple of days now. The plug-ins I mention above will get much use.

Producer Pack 1 is great. And now a free upgrade to Producer Pack 2!?
Once again the people at Nomad Factory demonstrate that they know the true meaning of customer service.
The $250.00 price tag for the whole bundle is a stunner! I paid $500.00 for the Producer Pack 1 and felt it was an amazing deal, based on the Brittish Collection, The Analog Signature Collection, the Blue Tubes plugs, Retrology, and Rock Amp Legends.
I'd never been a fan of amp simulators until I heard Rock Amp Legends. I recently spent a whole day with a veteran rock guitar player A/B ing Waves' GTR and Rock Amp Legends. Believe me, one day was not enough but by the end of it we both felt Rock Amp Legends was better.

See if the BT Compressor CP2S-3 doesn't sound almost the same as the Tube-Tech CL 1B that people have been raving about. It's awful damn close, to my ears.

Hmmmmm, let's see. Shall I pay $329 for one plugin, or shall I pay $249 for a whopping 27 of them?

That's not to take away from the Tube-Tech CL 1B, because it really *does* sound great. But this Nomad Factory deal is definitely more suiting to my budget.

The Nomads won´t put ur system down! That´s a promise! From the start I ran them on Panther and then Tiger on the same machine (MAC G5 PPC 2x 2,5 GHz.)
I never had any problem with the Nomads. They sound great. I use the Rock Amp a lot on pedal steel recordings with awesome and great results.. The Producer Pack is s a bargain and gives u 27 great tools on your palette. The price might be a big joke.. the plugs are not! :D
