Looking for upgrade advice

Post by Hiddenstory »

Greetings fellow slaves of technology. As a result of some negative experiences with DP 6, from some users, I have stayed with 5.13 and am humming along fine. Please give me some feedback re DP 7.
I am in middle of film at moment so will not upgrade now. DP 7, is it safe and friendly? I feel all fuzzy and safe with my DP 5.13 blanky. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Water's fine. C'mon in. I also stepped up from 5.13. The improvements are impressive.

I'm in the same boat as the original poster- I'm on DP 5.1.3 and OS 10.4.11 but I have recently gotten Snow Leopard and DP7 but have not installed yet. Can I install DP7 to my main system on 10.4.11 and not have the preference/plist/whatever files that screwed up DP5 when DP6 was installed or will it cause DP5 to be rendered unusable? My other option is to install Snow Leopard on another internal drive as a secondary boot up disk and put DP7 there.

Also, a question for motuscott- are the tritone plugs working on Snow Leopard?

Thanks,
Frank

Frankymax,
I only have valvetone62 and it works fine. Also Pluggo Jr, which I need to run tritone on my system, comes with some nice plug ins too.
