Hi to all,
I am just about to embark on recording my vinyl to digital and was wondering if anyone has ever hooked up a Technics turntable directly to the MOTU Traveller ?
As i would like to cut out as many links as possible, i have not hooked it up directly yet as i didnt think the traveller would take a Phono input.
If anyone has any experience in this area please throw me some ideas and any info would be great.
Regards,
S

Yes, I've done this and gotten very good results. You do need a preamp, or a least some software with a built-in RIAA curve. We covered this topic to death here:

The Traveler inputs are very hot with no padding, and provide plenty of amplification for a moving magnet cartridge. I hope you have plenty of spare time on hand!
