I just picked up a used one to replace my M-Audio Keystation Pro 88. I really like it so far, but I'm puzzled by how to update the firmware. Looks like you can only update it with a PC, but my PC won't even recognize the UF-80 when I plug it in. I'm using it on my mac with DP, but this is kind of driving me crazy. Anyone here have any experience with this?
thanks,
Tripi

Maybe install them on the PC if it does

Outside of that I've got nothing

Creativity, some digital stuff and analogue things that go boom. crackle, bits of wood with strings on them that go twang

Re: Anyone Using CME UF-80?
I own one of these and I had no problem getting it updated to the latest firmware. Have you downloaded the UF Brain utility from the CME website? You have to use this utility in order to perform the update. The UF Brain software is a Beta so I'm not sure if it works with Vista but it does work with XP. They don't have a Mac version of this software unfortunately. The instructions on how to use the UF Brain software are in the manual. If you don't have the manual you can download it from their website.

I've gotten it to work now. It took installing bootcamp and windows xp on my mac....... but i updated the firmware. Just seems like a lot of work for such a simple operation.
