Hi folks!
I've read many posts in this forum, but I still don't get my two Motus working together. I have two 896HD, the first one is connected to my PC via firewire, the second one is connected to the first one via ADAT. The SPDIF cable is connected to "ADAT Out" on 896HD #2 and to "ADAT In" on 896HD #1. On the Motu Audio Console I've set the Optical Inputs to "ADAT".
I can see the input LEDs blinking on the 896HD #2 when tring with my microphone, but these signals don't get to the 896HD #1. When I select "ADAT 1" on my sequencer, I still don't get a signal either. I've set the programmable meters on 896HD #1 to "ADAT In" but there is no signal on any incoming ADAT channel.
What's wrong here? WC source is set to "Internal" on 896HD #1.
Thank you for your help!

here's the step by step that worked for me:

Keep in mind since the 896 only has one adat i/o you will only get 4 channels at samplerates above 44.1/48 khz.
