I'm having no luck using the brand new XP64 drivers. They 're useless and don't even recognize the MKii Firewire, even though it makes the connect sound when I plug it in and it appears in my device manager as functioning perfectly. Sigh...

Unfortunately you can only get the most recent driver via Motu.

Could some kind soul share a copy of v3.6.7.4 for Windows?

Thanks

you'll need to be registered at MOTU.com, and you be asked to log in.
read through this chain and you'll find earlier versions:

http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtop ... 14&t=31518

the link I posted above downloads a file that does not install for me although it is from a motu site. Anyone have a similar experience?

There are no 3.6.7.x 64 bit versions. People who get the wavert versions of the most recent working like them. Again: not all results are consistent. caveat emptor
Appreciate the response.
I have been following this thread and plan on trying the earlier version (thanks for posting the link here & earlier) if I can't get a hold of v3.6.7.4.
Yeah, unfortunately it does not support 64 bit (from what I've read),
I checked the driversdb link but it is coming up as invalid, maybe its just down for the moment.

Thanks

I just put a new system together with Vista 64/Cubase 5 and my older 896HD +828MkII. I installed the 1400 driver and no sound out of the main outs. I did find it on outs 1 and 2 thanks to the above posts. This will only work without the 828 turned on, when that is connected, everything freezes. Any archive of older drivers somewhere?

does anyone have the previous drivers for Firewire 32Bit Windows? These new ones are just terrible.

CORRECTION:

while googling I found this page still on motu's site but not linked to from their page:

http://www.motu.com/download/updates/all-downloads

It has a link to the 3.6.7.4 driver 64bit BUT the link takes you to the new 64bit download. I know this is no help but it does correct me and confirm there was a 64 bit version of that driver. Talking it out of their sorry asses will be next to impossible

Look two posts above yours and you see links to the 3.6.7.0 and the 3.6.7.4 32 bit driver

that sounds like a good question. Just having a link to the old ones on their page would be a big help.

Email campaign anyone?

i have submitted a techlink to Motu today, let see what comes out of it, maybe in a month or so... even though i dont really expect anything miraculous.

just a small note, i remember in the fast tracker days, back in 1997/98 when i used to do music in DOS, i used to see Motu in magazines and was really under the impression that this company was the Top of the Top, whit all it's MIDI interfaces and Audio solutions... very sad how my perception changed now once i bought my first Motu product, and experienced the amazing quality and support of their stuff... anyways, it is not the only company like this, i guess there are worse out there...

I waited for two months and mine had not been read.

Called tech support and only got ringing.

Called customer service and was told MOTU units have no latency. Was then sent to an answer machine at tech service.

Had a tehcnote response a few hours later and was told they would not give me the older driver please uninstall and reinstall following the given instructions following,... Why should I they were already working; faster.

I agree with you about the old reputation. I guess I've bought mine based on that.

Thanks MOTU, yuu da bomm

Is it only cubase users with the mis matched outputs? Or only Vista users? I have XPprosp2 and SONAR 8.3.1 Sound forge 9, Acid pro 6, and Reason, My outputs are all fine, this driver seems great?

As I understand it, this problem only happens with the ASIO driver. (That's what Cubase and Nuendo would use.) If you use the Wave driver instead of ASIO, you won't have this problem.
The leading cause of wrong answers is asking the wrong questions.
