Click! as in The Click..

Post by mrgkeys »

....kindy, would someone explain to me how to get an 8th note click in DP? Is it just me or is the click interface not one of their greatest designs? I'm sure it had a thousand uses for film scoring, but I just wanna go from quarter notes to 8ths and I'm away from my manual on a session... suggestions? why can't I just select what note length I want for a given time signature?

I just made a movie and posted it at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaSA7gw8AsQ
Hopefully and you can tell what's going on despite youtube's bad quality.

Yes! Thank you very much! It's exactly what I wanted! That's way above and beyond the call of duty Dave. The drummer for the session is very happy and as you know, every time you make a drummer happy an angel gets his wings :-) The next time I'm in LA, the drinks of your choice are on me.

btw...Is this even in the manual?

It is for DP 6. I don't think you were capable of selecting different time signatures like that before 6.

I'm pretty sure DP 5x is the same deal as I've done it before (that's where I learned it). I'm using ishowu hd software in demo mode (leaves a water mark) to make the video. It's very cool and is only $29! You can set it up however you want in terms of what it's filming, adding audio, zooming, showing/not showing the mouse, green circle, etc. I'm going to pick it up I think. I'll take you up on the beer. See ya.
