Losing Plugin GUI

Post by cytemedia »

I've owned DP5 for a while, but am just now moving over from Pro Tools.

When I add a track, and select "instrument" and select a plugin from the list, the plugin's GUI doesn't appear. The plugins (Omnisphere and Stylus RMX) are listed as available, and I have checked the "Components" folder on the mac to confirm they were there, but after placing them in a track I only see the V-Rack menu, but no GUI for either Omnisphere or RMX.

Make sure you select valid outputs for the instrument track once it's open... VI's wont fully open until they're on a fully connected and enabled track. At least that's been the issue I've run into in the past...

Are you using DP 5.13? It would be enormously helpful in troubleshooting if you could tell what is the configuration of your Mac (primarily the OS version and processor type/speed, amount of RAM), and is this happening on ALL your plug-ins or just certain ones? If only some plug-ins, which ones?
