My system is perfectly stable at the moment, but I just bought one of the white Macbooks with FIREWIRE before they're not available anymore and it'll be running 10.5, which I haven't used yet. It'll be here in a few days.
If I replace the HD w/ a 7200rpm drive and put in 4 gigs of ram it'll be significantly faster than my current system, but I'm wondering how 5.13 will behave in Leopard (still on 10.4). Should I finally take the plunge with 6? As someone who used to do a fair amount of graphic design work I absolute hate the new look and hope they allow for some user customization options soon. That said, I use a lot of VIs and could use the prerendering, work with video a lot and could use the extra framerate options, and could use a decent reverb...should I take the plunge? I don't know if I'm going to be able to get over that new user interface, but I'll admit I didn't care for the old interface when I first switched from Pro Tools either.
Maybe I could just use 6 on the Macbook. :p
I guess I'm just asking if 5.13 will work in Leopard or should I go ahead and get 6 and get used to the UI.

5.13 runs fine on Leopard. So feel free to not upgrade on that count. There are some VI's that don't work under Leopard, but it seems to mostly be a Power PC thing.
If you do upgrade to DP6 (and the new GUI really doesn't bother me to be honest), you can always download the GUI mods by amplidood & co. which are very good and seem to solve 90% of the gripes people have about it.

Well, I took the plunge and upgraded a few other bits. I'll now be on 10.5 running DP 6 and Komplete 5.
I have no idea how this will be stability-wise, but wish me luck!
