Hey folks, I have spotted two AUs that do not function well in 6.0.1. Vocal Intensifier by db Audioware, which is superb, simply causes the audio engine to gag!!! I have had to strip out all instances of this AU until the prob is sorted. I reported this to MOTU techlink 8 Aug - still no response!!
Also Vielklang, the harmonising AU instrument, not effect. When loaded the window pane is blank. Switching on and off repeatedly finally gives me a pane but if I move it it goes blank again.
Very frustrating.
Anyone else experience this in 6.0.1 with these 2 AUs? Or is it all working for you lot?
Regards to you all out there, Guy

Re: DP6.0.1 AU problems
Welcome 303creative!
Thanks for the report.
Make sure you also report the problems to the plugin developers directly. I'm discovering that with some plugins coming from other countries than the US that Digital Performer may be not as easy for the developer to acquire for testing. I believe that dB Audioware is a Scottish company. ZPlane, makers of Vielklang, originated in Germany. Celemony (Germany) is among the companies who were still waiting for DP6 at the beginning of this month but are reporting that Melodyne does not officially work with DP6-- although it works in DP5 as an AU but not under DAE.
It's the little things, isn't it? I'm keeping my eyes and ears open for updates from third-party developers.
When we only report such things to MOTU, it's not clear if MOTU will actually acquire every plugin reported as being problemmatic. But sending reports to the plugin developer is at least as imperative and in the best interest of the developer as it is to MOTU and to the user (of course).
Also, you may want to keep tabs of this thread:
List of Plugins DP6 Doesn't Like:

One other thing that may help-- try testing your plugins in a DAW other than DP (ie: GarageBand, etc.). If the problem is still there, then the fix would more likely have to come from the plugin developer and not from MOTU.
Just a thought.

Re: DP6.0.1 AU problems
Thanks Frodo
I contacted the Vielklang writers and mentioned that their software is glitching in DP6.01.
Of course, they don't get a courtesy copy from MOTU after politely asking, so they were unaware.
They did say it was not really MOTU's fault as Vielklang had to make a workaround for porting their software into DP as DP's graphic engine doesnt work the standard OSX way - and neither does Vielklang's!!! So a cross-platform compromise was reached. But for DP6 MOTU obviously have changed something and Vielklang are working on a revision once they have worked it out.
Nice Germans.
