Like i said in my first post, this is hot!!!
I had a major problem with my Vram on my main rig (MacPro 3ghz) which is now in the shop.
I still think that Motu needs to do a bit more de-bugging but once I get my computer back I'm going to give your new GUI a try.
You and iPerformer have done incredible work!

Thanks again for all your efforts.

The only thing that's really ticking me off right now is that the marker names in the Sequence Editor are tied to the window background color. I guess whoever was setting this up originally didn't care because they were doing so much white everywhere that it didn't matter. I'm trying to find a way around it.

Looks like I may be one of the the only ones saying this, but what a clusterf#%k of color. You've made a decently elegant interface look like crap. IMO of course.

OK, so your eyes are less strained now, . . . maybe, but how are your stomaches?

Giving an opinion is one thing. This is not giving an opinion. This is being a {censored}. You don't have to use it, so why do you care?

Personally, I think you're being a "{censored}" for modifying someone else's artwork and code to fit your wants and needs. That's just me. How do you think you all have made the people at MOTU feel. Or do you care? All you care about is yourselves.

THIS is inexcusable, but something I'm seeing alot of on these boards. Heck, you all have disgusted the creator of your dump-ground of bickering and complaining. Like you said yourself, you don't have to use it.

midisac,
it's not that you don't like the guy's work, that's totally cool...as you say, IMO.
it's the way you vibed it into an antagonistic put-down...

that stuff doesn't go over well here.

PLUS, more to the point, the Mac has always been a platform that we users could tweak to our predelictions. I think someone mentioned Kaleidoscope - it was a way to change the windows and colors on OS8 and OS9 windows, icons & buttons. You can think of it like a dog marking his territory with certain biological trademarks  or a way to un-depersonalize what's happening to us all in this computerized age of impersonalization. did i really say that?
I personally enjoy dicking with the DP interface. When I'm busy, I don't, but it's a fun way to relate to each other here and relax. It's not any big insult to Motu, I'm sure. They're the ones who completely nuked a look everyone was pretty used to, and most of us fairly comfortable with. They seem somewhat open to new ideas from the user base :?: so I think it's win/win.

Being a {censored} is one thing. Being wrong at the same time is another. Bringing up a point already made is another still. Look closer and you'll see more than loss of questionable art, you'll also see increased usability. If colour upsets your tummy, you can use the the extensive colour options in the setup to dull it down.

ok, I'm sorry, I was being a total jackass. I remember tweaking with appearance themes. I guess TO ME, when you alter that white to anything else, it just looks odd because the underlying structure is so basic and probably what I don't like, except for it's original whiteness

I appreciate the apology. The whole point of this mod is for people that don't like the new interface. You apparently like the new interface, which is TOTALLY FINE. I'm NOT MAD at you for that. But you being mad at me for making it something *I* like, that's what I didn't understand.

Geez... I just get home and find this post. I agree with your self-appraisal. Give amplidood a break. There's no need to make that kind of remark. If you dont' like it... fine... don't utilize it, or better yet, create something better. Just to let you know, as Site Admin I would really appreciate it if you refrain from those sorts of posts in the future. I do appreciate you following up though with the apology. I'd just like to keep this place friendly and not bring the mood down. As Site Admin, I cannot and will not allow that to happen here.

Kind words. Thanks, Kwiz.

I think my buddy's MacPro just went kaputz with the same problem. Computer turns on but the screen shows shapes and colors I've never seen before.

I really like what you are doing, as well. The lighting effects are very nice. I have no idea where to change that setup...it's probably yet another graphic file.
