For some strange reason my master control button does not make any difference to the sound level. It's as if the unit is being bypassed and windows/cuemix is just passing the sound through.
The only way to control volume is through windows volume control - and even at minimum levels it's really loud!!
Any ideas on why this could be happening. Is it something in Cuemix that i'm missing?
Cheers,
Ben

Found it!! Need to have the monitor button in cuemix enabled under the main 1-2 channel on the output tabs!
Love walking blindly through cuemix. I feel sorry for users who have never experienced DAW's / audio engineering before.

Re: No Master Volume Control - 828MkIII
Hi
I have the same problem with cuemix. I am using the new version and have no control over the master volume. The peak meters are working but the volume slider has no effect on the master outs. I have tried doing what was suggested here to no avail but to be honest could not find a monitor button on th enew version. Any ideas would be apreciated.
Cheers Gary

Hi
I have the new version and I have the monitor buttons on each OUTPUT in the outputs tab at the bottom
so looking at cuemix
press the output tab
first channel on the left should be named main 1-2
looking down at the bottom of the channel you should have talk, listen, monitor, press monitor.
At the top right hand corner of cuemix is the monitor level,
directly beneath this you have a drop down menu this should have main outs selected.
the monitor level should now work for your main outs.
hope this helps
cheers

Re: No Master Volume Control - 828MkIII
Hi
Thanks for the help so far but I think it is down to some confusion on my part. It apears that what I can't control through the main volume out is any sound generated inside the PC so far that is FL studio8 and winamp. I can however control the main out for an analog external source. If however I route this source into a software recorder and want to monitor the output from the software and not the input signal then I have no master volume control on the main outs. But I think that make sense as being the output mix it would have to be able to map back to the aplication other wise all you are really contolling is your headphone or monitor mix and not the record level.
I think
cheers Gary
