Just a thought here. Do you have your master clock set to internal or are you using another device as a master clock? Make sure that DP has the right device set for your master clock.

Peace

I'm back..just to let you know..My host multiplier is set to 1 and my buffer setting is set to 1024,and clock source is Tascam FW 1884.I didn't see any thing as far as an external clock source as my FW 1884 is receiving clock from apogee rosetta.I had trouble free recording tonight. But chances are it'll still happen once in a while..Any way, thanx to you all for your replies..

interesting.
keep an eye on that buffer setting, in my case at least, that's where trouble usually begins.

peace!

i have had similiar sounds. I realized they were from the refrigerator nearby,(though setup on a different breaker, it still affects my speakers/recording sessions). So check if there is a high voltage machine somewhere nearby. It sounds like that is probably the case. also, host buffer multiplier has to do with how many devices you have connected. it explains it in the help section of dp.

Hi, my first time posting here as well. I have found pops in my recording as well and spent many, many hours trying to find out what was causing them. What I did was start up with only base mac extensions and then the extensions needed for DP audio system, then turn off and unplug everything that is not needed to record audio and next try recording and check for pops (checking for pops is the most tedious part because it is hard to prove a negative). If that works, then turn on extensions in groups at a time and check for pops again, then turn on equipment one at a time. I had to do this three times to finally be pop free. It was at first recroding onto an external HD, then it was a USB that was not self powered, then it was a problem with the Yamaha Motif chasis being connected via USB to the computer and sucking too much juice. Hope this helps
