well I just burnt an hour recreating my template to find that I have MLC's issue of being unable to load an IR at all into proverb.

this is on my 10.5.4 partition...

any clues - is it a case of unistalling 5.13 and reinstalling DP 6 i wonder?

Is that happening in all files? For me it was only in a few tracks but new tracks and files were OK.

Did you rebuild the Audio Unit Info Cache? Just curious; I don't know that this is the answer. Somewhere along the line mine started working, but I'm talking about factory presets, not IR's that I've added.

ok i stuffed up - missed an input when recreatign the templates...

now having a look at proverb,,,

it cant load those tempting sounding sony freebies! .sfl files

just the plain old audio files'

so I can make my own IRs? record a balloon pop in a stairway? or ballon pop 100% wet thru my fave arse-acoustics presets?

shame the length parameter isn't automatable - I guess I will have to have a couple on the go?

Rebuilding the folders/categories etc. poses some questions though, and if I could get a head start here it'd be much appreciated.
So, with this in mind, I have a question or two:

1) How many folder layers deep is ProVerb able to read its IRs from?

2) Are we able to place docs, pics, empty "labeling folders" or even the original zipped files in the same folders (a convenience thing) without cluttering up preset browsing (IOW, are these non-audio files ignored?).

3) Can we specify a default setting by which ProVerb saves relevant presets/IRs to the project folder?
I ask this 'cause it seems to me that we'd otherwise have to avoid altering existing IR folder names or locations to ensure future compatibility.

4) Does ProVerb store preset data in the usual plug preset location (lib/audio/presets/digital performer)?

5) Is it possible to get DP to store said data along with the relevant IRs to the project folder by default?

6) What is the full range of formats it'll recognise? Will it see MP3s or SFIs, for instance?
Thank you in advance for any 'Cornie wisdom here.
Just bumping this question list from page 3 as I've not heard a peep out of any 'Cornie peeps yet.

Here Phil:

http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/impulses

There is one WAV folder out of the 13 on offer, the "synthesizedeffects" one.
All the rest are sfi's, which is one reason this was one of my questions I posted.

Ahh, thanks MM. When he said freebies, I thought it was something on the extras CD or something. Shooshie's right. We should start a free IR thread. Perhaps James would make it a sticky. Wadaya think?

Hey MM,
For some reason, although ProVerb works fine on DP6 for me, I have no presets whatsoever. I don't know if it's an installation error or what, but I asked weeks ago why I have no presets at all and no one answered.

BTW the way it surprises me you haven't made a pun or joke out of ProVerb as proverb, you know a story with a message.

Indeed. We could start a new thread - ProVerb proverbs by Monk Eyman.

Sorry that I missed your initial post. No presets here either. When I select "show presets in finder" the preset folder comes up empty. Anyone else seeing something different?

Kinny and Phil, have both you guys trashed your AU caches?
How 'bout your DP prefs?
Permissions? (long shot as I expect you'd have done this).

Well, when I first started requesting the Vintage Suite of plug-ins from MOTU in DP, I dubbed the convolution 'verb ConVerb. I thought it was hilarious at the time (think about it - you're conned into thinking the space is real, and there's the CONvolution thing).

Little did I know that MOTU would use the inverse nomenclature. LOL
So you see, it's all a joke to the Monkster every time I see the word, "ProVerb".

That Vintage Suite is rolling out though, it seems, what with the arrival of the LA2A sim.

I think the factory "presets" are what you access from the front panel of ProVerb. It's only user presets that get saved via the mini menu.

I could be wrong, but that's my experience here.

Sounds like they're either contained within the plug or else in the appropriate application support folder, Mr. Q.
