Long story short, the other day I was trying to turn off the unit. I noticed that the unit didn't shut down because I was holding down the wrong button next to the power button. I was in such a rush I don't remember what exact button I was holding down.
Anyway, later that evening I loaded up the song I was working on and I could get anything out of the monitors. I checked the L/R meters on the ultralite and they were non responsive. So obviously, when I held down that button earlier, I jacked up something. Now...no sound.[:@]
The Motu unit's LCD shows "Meter 44". I'd assume that means they are the same.[8|] So I said "screw it. I'll just reset the ultralite to its default settings!" I grabbed my handy ultralite manual...went to page 34 and did EXACTLY what it said to do. http://i29.tinypic.com/24509ki.jpg
Now, the manual doesn't specify that you should press AND HOLD the VALUE button...so I tried both ways....many times. I've held the button down for longer than a minute...nada.
All the unit does when I press the Value button is display "Meter 44" on the LCD. Nothing more.
I sent an email of my issue to Motu's tech dept. and got this return: "data format error. Command output: techsupport: Over quota"
LOL, I'm no genius but I think that means they cannot accept anymore emails at that time because their system can't handle any more......[:@] Nice.
I know that I did something to mess up the communication between the ultralite and Sonar. My fault. I can listen to Itunes and play my POD going into the ultralite>out of the monitors as we speak. BUT, not being able to reset the unit is a red flag especially after my first unit was a turd.
In the end...could one of you guys try and reset your ultralite to factory and spell out in terms a 3 year old with a head woulnd could understand exactly what you did. I need to see if there is an issue with my unit and if I need to return it for my 4th? Yes, the other Motu was really busted and not just me being a pinhead.
Any help will be appreciated! I'll be twitching over in the corner of my room emptying a bottle of Wild Turkey hopefully awaiting anyone's reply.
Yours truly,

Jerry
