Yep, I saw this on Youtube a couple of weeks ago.
I'm not a guitarist, but I can see a solid guitar player re-inventing his or her style and technique because of the new possibilities of the Moog.
That thing is a beast.

Yes, $6500. Very reasonable. ...if you're Lou Reed:

I dunno. I think it will be a fad. I don't expect it to have legs.

There isn't anything I heard I don't know how to get some other way using high gain and feedback or synths and effects.

Maybe the auto-mute banjo mode. That's what banjos are for though. Frankly, I don't do a lot of banjo music now.

Perhaps you have to actually get one in your hands.

wow.

not so excited anymore.

the thing i like the most is the ebow type effect built in the pickups, i could use my right hand for all kinds of other multi-tasking on stage.

continuous morphing between the pickups sounded awesome as well.

i'm sure i could easily wire my beloved G&L to do the same thing, but i don't think it would come close to the beautiful overtones the moog generated.

i could do so much with this guitar for the type of music i play (atmospheric destructo-core/ rock[and roll]).

i could do so much with $6500, too.

(like feed my family, or something like that)

i am going to copyright "atmospheric destructo-core", though.

maybe a couple of lawsuits will pay for that guitar.

all in due time.

I was expecting a keytar and got a glorified eBow.

Neat sounds, but...

I think it looks really cool. Definitely not just an e-bow plus.

Yeah it's a fair amount better than an ebow. Ebows are very cheap though. It's a little bit better than a Sustainiac. But still a lot more expensive.
