828mk2 + Amilo Li 1705 + Xp Sp3 + Sonar 7 ...please Help!

Hi guys!!

I'm trying to make my motu 828mk2 usb 2.0 working with my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 1705...

I downgrade from Vista home to Xp home edition Sp3...Sonar 7 is able to identify mt motu, but i always get dropouts while i'm recording and the audio stop when i push start after few seconds...

I've tried so many times changing drivers...setting different buffers and so on but I'm starting to think that the problem is caused by the usb 2.0 data stream of my laptop...Any idea on how I can make things work?

Using DPC Latency Survey I've noticed that sometimes latency becomes too high...

I'm starting to think that a Mac is the solution...but before changing my laptop i must try every possible solution...

Your HD can be the problem, as hd's in laptops aren't the fastest ones. Try to test it on a desktop pc and see what it does then. Also check that the irq of your usb port ain't shared with another intensive function.
