MOTU 828 MK3 Latency issues (mutes & beeps) resolved!

Post by Raphie »

I've resolved my latency problem

I went to device manager
Selected my Seagate SATA-II drive
right clicked > properties
choose policies TAB
clicked " Enable Advanced performance"

ALL latency issues gone, work now with 256kb samplesize and can run VST SX3 and mediaplayer while surfing on the internet without ANY problems.

The problem lays in the fact that if you have AHCI enabled for your disk controller (using the manufacturers drivers) you NEED to enable advanced performance otherwise you are in IDE emulated mode.

Try and let me know!

What OS are you using?
did you install your OS in AHCI mode? (AHCI enabled in BIOS?)
Did you use the mobo manufacturer driver for the diskcontroller?
