Hi all,

I seem to have exactly the same problem. I'm running Logic Pro 8 on a Dual 2.5 GHz PowerPC G5 with 4 GB RAM running OS10.4.10 with an Alesis iO/14 Firewire Soundcard.

When I try to record anything with MachFive the sounds are triggered during recording and a MIDI part is created. When I try to play it back, however, no sounds come out. A MIDI signal is certainly going somewhere as the "keyboard" graphic within MachFive lights up as if something is being triggered, but no noise comes out.

All my other AU instruments are working fine

Hope someone can help!!!!

Thanks

The last version of MachFive v1 is pretty old at this point – I wouldn't be surprised if it exhibits some issues in hosts which are much newer. I don't think MachFive v2 has the problem you're describing.

Versions... need versions..
of Mach5
logic
OS

If you hadn't updated Logic just yet... do so. 100+ fixes in there..

Yeah, Logic 8 broke compatibility with M5 version 1...

v. 2 works... Though lots of issues loading my v.1 patches--typically all samples are set to one-shot. For my projects that have a lot of v.1 stuff, I've been staying in Logic 7...
