If I'm being a moron and there IS a way to do this, please let me know:
1: First, I want to hit SHFT M and see the mixer ALONE (can be done with the right prefs setting). Second, I want to hit the mixer tab in the consolidated window and see the mixer in the consolidated window (easy... just do it). Third, I don't want doing step two to kill step one!
See, hitting the mixer tab in consolidated window "pops the mixer into the consolidated window" which means hitting SHIFT M will now brings up the consolidated window, even if "mixer" remained unchecked in consolidated windows prefs. At the very least if it's going to make that pref behave differently shouldn't it SHOW that it's doing that? I have to toggle the mixer on and back off in consolidated windows prefs to reengage the desired behavior... it might as well just show it's off, since in effect it's off.
2. Second, I want control the order of tabs and what tabs show up in consolidated window. Say I never use "songs". Why is it taking screen real estate? Almost anything can be turned on or off within a window in Pro Tools. There's a whole menu for it (view menu). DP needs more of that.
