No ASIO/ Motu Audio Device found!? (please help!)

I'm really going nuts... I've been trying to install this soundcard for over three hours.

I just can't get it to work with Cubase SX 3.

It won't let me switch from ASIO Multimedia setup to Motu Audio ASIO from the device menu. Keeps saying no Motu Audio Device could be found.

I've installed all the software several times.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you have ANY other sound card which is already using an ASIO driver - you will be locked out

Try removing / disabling all other sound cards 1st.

First I removed all the system files related to my old sound card, that's how I got it to finally show up in Cubase ASIO... But still no sound. I only hear sound outside of cubase. I installed Ableton Live to see it that would be any different but it's not.

At this point I'm coping all my files to a 32 Gig flash drive and reformatting my whole computer...

Did you installed the Ultralite Properly? First drivers and THEN Connect audiocard to the computer?? or did you, like almost everyone that wants to see the lights in the soundcard, to say "wow its beautifull", connected the ultralite first and then installed the drivers?7
I dont own a ultralite but i own firewire cards and all this cards works this way, and i cant really tell how to solve it if this is your problem... :S maybe a format and then reinstall it in right way, is what i would choose if i needed the ultralite very much and if this is your case...
