The update messes up your core audio or something and starts causing crackles and distortion. I did it before I read about it. If you have done it... the fix is to revert back to the old. You can do so by going to this link

and replacing the file.

Thanks for the heads up.... I've already installed it
however, this seems to be an ableton issue. Some reports that firefox has issues streaming. Tested and working fine here. Firefox, DP, itunes, cog, all fine. I'll stick with the update, since I've already applied it...

hmm. I don't have ableton, but I had the problem. I just found the link when I was searching for a fix. Not sure why some have problems and some didn't. Mine was definitely messed up though, but all is well now after reverting to the old one. Glad you guys didn't have problems. BTW mine was Safari streaming audio.
