MOTU 828 mk3 and Adobe Premiere CS3

Post by toetag39 »

Recently purchased an 828 mk3 and had a hell of a time getting it going, as it seems some of you have. So after hours of setting adjustments and upgrading software, i am having an issue that is breaking my brain.

All my issues seem to be only with Premiere CS3.1.1

When i start the program, the Motu CLOCK on the front will flash from 48 to 44.1 twice before adjusting to 48. The program will not load until the series of flashes stop. Now my audio console is already set at 48 within the Motu Console. Why this flashes back and forth at the start is beyond me. So inside the audio hardware set up within Premiere, everytime i choose MOTU ASIO, the CLOCK on front of the interface again flashes from 48 to 44.1 twice before settling at 48, again freezing the pc until it is done; including the program going back to the Premiere Pro Windows Sound instead of MOTU ASIO. Finally, when minimized to the windows desktop and back to Premiere, the flashing of the CLOCK again from 48 to 44.1 and back. This is beyond annoying because it freezes my computer everytime until it is done and slows my editing process WAY down.

Now I just installed the newest patch for Premiere and same thing. I really don't think it's the program. I've looked on Adobe's forums and found nothing of the sort. I'm leaning to it has to do with the MOTU itself or the drivers. "Not Sure" though. The rest of CS3 works completely fine including Audition, all recognizing the Motu ASIO and never with the flashing, driving me insane, CLOCK.

So is anyone having issues with the 828mk3's CLOCK with any programs besides me, and can anyone tell me anything to keep me sane???
