What's the ram limit of DP these days? Are you able to load more than 2 gigs in a project?
Is there any word on a DP 64bit upgrade?

No word on a 64 bit upgrade as of yet, though the supposed rewrite of DP with version 6 at least hints at the possibility of 64 bits in the foreseeable future. Others here are better at describing this, so I will leave it up to them.
The RAM limit is the same, technically 4 GBs. In real world terms that amounts to somewhere closer to 3 1/2. There are ways around this limitation, as you probably are already aware. Running VIs outside DP and piping MIDI and audio back and forth is one. Investing in newer plugins (Play, VSL) that break the 32 bit RAM barrier is another. Using another machine, of course, is always an option too.
