restore default MIDI patches?

Post by proton »

hi all,

it seems all my MIDI patches have disappeared :(. inside DP 4.61's Tracks window, Apple Software Synth and all my other devices say "(no patches)." in OSX 10.4.11's Audio/MIDI Setup Utility all the hardware manufacturers have also disappeared from the list for my MIDI devices. although the devices i'm using still work, there are no patches for any of them.

is it possible to restore the default patches without completely reinstalling OSX?

my MIDI interface is a fastlane w/USB install 1.3.7. i'm also using the latest version of quicktime 7.

thanks.

Run the DP installer from your installation disc, and then, if necessary, use the DP 4.61 updater from motu.com to get back to the newest DP 4 release.

it worked--i ran the DP installer CD and all the patches and device names were restored. i'm relieved that this could be fixed without reinstalling the whole OS!

thanks alot!
