24i/o doesn't work anymore with leopard and new drivers
I had 24i/o with panther and logic 6 on my g5 for 3 years without any problem.Just after installing leopard, logic 8 and the new drivers it seemed to be all ok because it was working but after turning the mac off and turning it on again,it didn't see the pci 424.Has anybody some solution for me?I cannot stop my work,it's terrible..thanks

You're scaring me, kukapuwa.
I've been ditching s/h gear and preparing and saving for a Mac Pro all year, and am hoping to jump on the new offerings when they arrive... soon.
Obviously I'd be upgrading to a 424-e card and keeping my 24I/Os.
I too await some good news here; yours is not the first glitch I've heard of.
Fingers crossed for you too, kukapuwa.

This does not sound like behavior that people on an internet forum can correct.kukapuwa wrote:Has anybody some solution for me?I cannot stop my work,it's terrible..thanks

Yes, it's very helpful because this board is NOT run by MOTU, and ultimately if you want a replacement 24 I/O or to arrive at any solution, it will likely mean you must involve MOTU. So that means contacting THEM.kukapuwa wrote:sorry emulatorloo...i didn't understand your reply..is someway helpful to what i was trying to ask?

FWIW when I made the panther to tiger jump I encountered some driver issues.
I found that I could not completely successfully remove the old drivers with the new softwares uninstall feature.
I had to download the old driver install software and use it's uninstall feature, restart and then install the new drivers from the current build, restart and finally turn on the interface.
After that things worked nicely.
YMMV
