Hi!
Please advise me, I have serious audio dropout problems with a 896HD under Windows XP 64 sp2 (clean install, latest drivers). I have an on-board VIA FW controller, PCILatency tool reports 032 latency on it.
I tried to search for a solution, but I cannot apply the KB885222 patch since it is for 32-bit systems only. Do you know a 64-bit version of this perhaps?
Or should I install a TI FW controller?
Thanks,
Csaba

VIA FW controllers are known to have reliability issues w.r.t. audio interfaces. Get a TI based on and more importantly call MOTU tech support to see if the mobo that you are using meets their requirements.
Audio drop outs may also occur because your buffer settings are to low try setting it at 256 samples while recording and at the highest possible setting during mixing/post work
