Thanks for the heads up on this. I wish I had the opportunity to save you the pain first. I have it sitting on my drive, but I said I'm gonna wait and see what the guinea pigs/geniuses at UN come up with first.

It looks like they have completely eliminated the 1.4.5 drivers. I can't find them anywhere on the MOTU site. Very short life.

any official comment about the support for PPC?
Still no update. They should support thier customers at first hand
and not Apple... :(

Is there any beneficial upgrading to 1.4.6 on a C2D Mac with OSX 10.4.11 and Logic Pro 7.2.3 or I better wait my migration to Leopard - and Logic 8 - later on (after all the bugs appears)?
;)

Thanks

It would really surprise me to hear that MOTU released intel only drivers. I would imagine that release is Universal Binary.

Maybe time to contact tech support and let them know what you are experiencing? So that they can either help you get it sorted out, or fix the driver????

Bumping this back up, since I upgraded to DP 5.13 on PPC, 10.4.11. I'm still using driver 1.4.4 and all is well and very stable, but the conventional wisdom on this board is that 5.13 wants to see the Leopard drivers. I know, if it ain't broke..., but has anyone managed to pin down whether 1.4.6 is PPC compatible? Is it really just a Leopard update? And what happened to the 1.4.5 driver?

So is it just MOTU USB audio interfaces on PPC macs that are not working with Leopard? Or FW and PCI too?

Im running the New Intel Imac with the motu ultralight. Ive downloaded the most recent drivers and my audio is working perfectly...but, my MIDI wont respond with reason...shits weak....

Also, dudes, if you have a G4...DO NOT upgrade to leopard, you will be very unforunate, i found that out the hard way so just take my word for it.

But yeah Ive already recorded a few sessions with this interface and im in love..just wish my MIDI would respond, anyone else havin this issue??

Hi All

FYI

I have a MacBook Pro .... upgraded to 10.5.1 then installed the new MOTU drivers for my Traveller.

All seems fine for all my audio apps (Cubase 4, iTunes, Soundtrack Pro).

Upgraded all software and now the 828 is completely left out of the picture. Rebuilt, restored, reinstalled and still Leopard cannot seem to interface happily with the 828. Sometimes it sees it but cannot play through it.

Suggestions? Don't upgrade to Leopard.

I'm now on a Core 2 Duo Mac, running Leopard 10.5.1 with a MOTU 1.4.6 driver driving my 828 MKII.

Veredict:

No problems here so far.

i have contacted the motu guys. we`ll see what they can do.
the problem., once again, occurs only with
PPC and Leopard and 828mk2 USB. PPC Users with that interface:
don`t upgrade to leopard for now!!! You may have problems

oh, and Logic. By the way, anyone with 828 (USB), PPC, Leopard and Logic Pro 8 ?
I‘m still on 7.2. Maybe the new driver is tested with 8 only?
