I'm fearing this is a common problem. I have a •••• load of noise and crackle on my input 2 of my MOTU Traveler, and it's been getting worse.
MOTU support have only suggested I update the drivers, which is crap support if you ask me, but I need to know whether this is a case of sending the unit back straight away or whether there's some trick I can do to remedy the problem as it's impossible to work with it like this.
Any advice?

Spoke with MOTU support, they suggest I update to the latest driver and firmware and reset to the factory defaults. This has brought the noise down considerably, but input 2 is still very noise in comparison to the rest, and the occasional crackle slips through.
If you have the same problem, I recommend you do this first, then think about sending it in to MOTU for a repair service. Apparently it's a flat rate of $75 to repair, which isn't bad, but expensive if you have to send it back 3 or 4 times like some of the posts I've read here!
I'm now also going to switch to mains power after the horror stories motherboards melting after using bus-powered units...
