Hi.
Is anyone out there using one of the new Intel Mac Minis with Mach 5 V2 standalone?
If so, what audio interface are you using?
I tried it with an M-audio Lightbridge, but it fought with the firewire drive.
You could get either the interface or the firwire drive without pops and clicks, but not both at the same time.
Thanks.

Mac Mini
It works here. Firewire audio interfaces and disk drives don't like to share bandwidth, so you might try using a USB2.0 drive on the high speed bus (look in your apple system profiler--there is ONE USB port that can handle 480 mbs.)

Re: Mac Mini
You might also want to swap out the audio interface (though that might be more expensive)... In my experience USB drives are extremely poor performers on Macs, 1/2 the speed of firewire at times (though it might not matter depending on how many tracks you're using, etc...)Cartoonz wrote:It works here.
