So I have an Alphatrack and a Mackie MCU. I still like the MCU for "heavy duty" mixing because I like having simultaneous control over multiple tracks, and I like the feel of the transport controls better than the stiffy controls on the AT.
But, I have been using the AT as a remote control for DP when I am recording away from my main workstation - like recording acoustic from across the room, etc. I have been using an uber-long USB cable, but I got to wondering if the AT would work OK with a wireless USB setup. Anyone tried something similar with either the AT or another controller?
Alphatrack as Wireless USB Controller?

Hi Res Alien, you are aware of the tranzport, yes ??? I have an alpha myself (love it...), and a contour shuttle (usb, wired as well), but I love the combo of the 2 for editing, zooming. I haven't used the tranzport myself, but read a lot of good stuff .... apparently it's the schnizzle, for what you're looking to do. If you do try a wireless usb deal, do let us know how it works out!
