create new MIDI controller

hi, im using dp5.12 and i have a behringer ddx 32 that is a digital mixer with MIDI ports. im tryng to control volume and pan by my mixer in dp. this way is very easy because if i attach MIDI controller for every channel in the mixer it works. but if i move the volume on dp, the volume on my mixer doen't move. is it possible to create a console that receives and sends MIDI information to do this? in wich way?
