Alright, after having modified a couple of parameter to match my Yamaha-S90ES master keyboard, I've played TP for a couple of hours and I've to say it is quite astounding considering that it's a virtual reproduction not-samples based. Not very heavy on CPU, plenty of polyphony, very comfortable playability, it's all true.

Then I've loaded Ivory (Steinway), WhiteGrand&Sister, AKoustikPiano (Bechstein) a piano I've built years ago (Fazioli mezza coda) now played by M5v2, and also played my Shimmel real piano - real cos it's one of those woody - stringy - cumbersome thing :)

Recorded a MIDI track, duplicate for each piano and then compared one to the other. On this test TP sounded just a bit ... confused on the low mid area if compared to AK, WG or Ivory but generally it did a good job on reproducing the track dynamics. My only real complaint is about the high section of the piano, more or less the last highest octave an half, which it sounds very dull to me, missing the hammer noise attack which is a very important part of the sound in that area of the piano where the strings are that short.

TP is very good piano, and probably one of the best choice for anyone that has to perform live, cos there's no need of external drive for the samples, no need to be worried about streaming, so what the company claim it's true. And from what I've heard (not tested myself). it does speak quite well too in a mix, like WG for example, better than Ivory.

Would it be my first choice for a recording piano session? I don't know, I still can hear important components difference when compared to samples based instruments and to my real piano, basically about detail and overtones, but being a v1 of a software I suppose there's still a lot of room for improvements.

So, chapeau to 4Front people, and if this offer will go on I'll probably get one copy for myself ... to play on my PBook live perhaps? :)

ciao

Looks nice and the demos sound nice. Actually any productions made with it for majors? or for projects where a realistic piano is needed?

I am still worrying!

Hi,

Replying via my phone from my vacation address, so my reply will be short. 1 year, means 1 year of free updates, addons and support, nothing more nothing less. The license information can be viewed from our purchase page.

Hi,

There was a problem with the Unicornation discount script on our server causing the displaying of a timeout message instead of the coupon code due to the Unicornation server having changed it's IP address. If any of you encountered this problem the last days, it's been fixed now.

Thanks Roel for catching this and I apologize. The hosting company did this the last few days and I had not idea it would cause problems. That said, now that I have the opportunity, I'd just like to mention again how much I like this VI Roel... and I'd strongly suggest that if you haven't done so already, try the demo and then buy this cool piano VI!!!

Can someone post the instructions to do a complete uninstall of the TruePianos demo? I wish all demo installers included an uninstall function, but it seems the TruePianos installer doesn't.

Thanks,
Babz

Uninstall Truepianos demo:

- Delete /Library/Application Support/TruePianos
- Delete /Applications/TruePianos.app
- Delete /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components/TruePianos.component
- Delete /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST/TruePianos.vst

This is all!

Thanks James for the special on this new-fangled pie-anna. I bought it recently after trying out the demo.

Customer service is also very, very good. I needed some servicing and was well looked after from the get-go.

Thanks True Piano guys. Thanks J.
