Hi Guys, I looked on the forum to see if anything had been written about this but couldn't find anything relevant. If there is, I apologise and hopefully someone will point me in its direction.
I've been working on this project for a few weeks and it's been quitting on me often but it's been hard to establish a pattern. In it I've used Amplitube 2, Altiverb 6 and Battery 3. Whenever Amplitube was involved in it, there was a substantial drain on the processors and my suspicians were locked on Amplitube. I have since bounced to disk the Amplitube tracks but still every so often it would quit although not as much as before. In fact there was even a short calm period after I re-installed DP 5 and it's updates to 5.12 and also OS update from 10.4.9 to 10.4.10. but it all started again.
I have since discovered a consistant way to make DP quit. I bring Battey to the foreground, choose a cell,( I've tried various cells with the same result) click the "Wave editor" tab (in Battery) and any function I choose in the "EDIT" drop down menu will cause DP to quit. It's quit many other times but I haven't managed to establish the pattern in those other times.
Has anyone had or heard of problems similar to this and if so have any solutions?
All the best, Markymac

This sounds very similar to a problem I was having. I didn't reinstall DP, however I did upgrade to 5.12 and upgraded to 10.4.10 as well. The crashing seemed to stop for a little bit after the upgrades, but then happened again. It seems that you have narrowed it down to somewhat of a specific set of events, which I wasn't really able to do. I will try your combination of actions and see if it happens to me as well.
