Falling You: ethereal electronica w/female vox, all with DP

Post by JMZorko »

http://www.fallingyou.com -- there are links there that let you stream the music free of charge (128k stereo mp3) from Magnatune. We're often compared to Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, Delirium, Enya, Massive Attack, Collide, Love Spirals Downwards, etc.

Our 2006 record, "Human", won NARs (a collection of hundreds of DJs and broadcasters, all sending their playlists to http://www.newagereporter.com) "Best Vocal Album" award, and our previous effort, "Touch", won the same award for 2005.

DP is used to do the recording (electronic, acoustic and vocals) / sequencing / mixing via a MOTU Traveler and MTP AV, running on a dual 2.7ghz G5. Synths include a Roland XP80, Yamaha DX7IIFD E!, Yamaha Motif ES6, plus occasional use of Reason and Ableton Live / Operator, all rewired through DP.

All comments / criticisms are welcome of course :-)
Regards,

John
