News from MOTU
Here's the answer I got from Motu today when asking for v2 release date:
"Samuel,
Thank you for your interest in MachFive version 2.
MachFive 2 is currently a high priority development project here at MOTU. We are anticipating support for Intel Macs, Windows Vista, and Windows XP64 machines. All further information, including a full feature list, upgrade pricing, and release date, will be posted to www.motu.com when it is available. "

Re: News from MOTU
I really doubt that... but congrats on finding the worst possible way to interpret that. They are too many PPC machines out there I would imagine for the to take the hard line. I bet it's Universal Binary is what they mean.BenD wrote:samueltournan wrote:We are anticipating support for Intel Macs, Windows Vista, and Windows XP64 machines.

Dang. Monkey resumes chanting...
Machy's on its way today, tomorrow, tomorrow!
No longer have to run K2, to borrow, to borrow!
If Machy's really on its way tomorrow, tomorrow!
Then K2's surely had its day, no sorrow, no sorrow!

Thank you, you are welcome

and on top of it i totally agree with you...
But i couldn't stop myself from smiling at the fact that it could be interpreted this way, knowing that the M5 v2 subject is a sensitive one for some. (myself included)
And i decided to crack a joke...

I admit it was a bit cynical.
I'm really looking forward to have a UB version of M5,
we are using it a lot live, with DP, in my two pieces band for keyboards parts and our ibook 12' is getting a little bit overwelhmed.
As we don't like to spend a lot of time between songs, M5 and others VI are loaded into a Vrack, and we change chunks for every songs.
We use Midipipe for transposition and keyboards spliting.
When you have enough power, it's really convenient.
